The Stables Art Studio
The Stables Art Studio is situated an hours drive west of Brisbane, in the rolling hills of Summerholm, in the Lockyer Valley, Queensland
Part of a working farm, the Stables has been converted into a functioning art studio ,workshop and exhibition venue.
It is a quite, peaceful space, providing an ideal environment to expand and develop painting and drawing.
Classes can be held on weekends – and throughout the week by appointment.
Groups are most welcome.
Sue Dryden (Ass Dip FA, MEd.) has been involved in the Arts for many years, both as a teacher and art practitioner.
Sue has exhibited in both regional and Brisbane galleries.As well as her involvement in the Arts, Sue also has extensive counselling experience with children and teenagers.
The Graydon Gallery – Exhibition
14th to 26th November 2017
This exhibition is like a book of short stories.
Some of the paintings are metaphorical and some are interiors of places visited and people known. They record brief encounters with characters, show loved places to wander through, and offer a touch of mysteries to ponder.

Introductory Painting – held over two, consecutive Saturdays
Topics covered include:
- “I don’t know what to paint”
- Basic drawing skills – breaking the ” I can’t draw” barrier
It is the aim of the course for each participant to complete one set work.
Cost : $160.00 | including materials used on each day
Intermediate and Advanced Classes will also be held.
Weekend classes can also be organised, together with suggestions on local bed and breakfast accommodation options.
Morning Tea and Lunch can also be provided | or information on local BYO options.
